What to sow at end of April:

• Direct sow: Beetroot, calabrese, broccoli, summer cabbage (such as Greyhound), cauliflower, carrots, leeks, peas, spinach, watercress.
• Indoors/greenhouse: aubergine, basil, celery& celeriac, courgette, squash, cucumbers, kale, lettuce, melons, beans, tomatoes and perennial herbs such as rosemary, sage and thyme.
