Community at the Salopian Kitchen Garden

We also work with The Good Gym who provide amazing services, NCS (National Citizen Services) and other businesses to provide us with individual volunteers when they can. For more information please contact us.

CORPORATE VOLUNTEERING

We work in partnership with businesses to enable them to make a positive difference to their environment and local communities. We work flexibly with each business to understand their needs so together we can ensure maximum impact. There are several ways businesses can get involved with the work that we do.

GROUP PROJECT VOLUNTEER DAYS

Not just the usual teambuilding days out, these group days mean people get involved in real life community projects which not only provides tangible and practical tasks for the team but really adds value to the local community and environment. Depending on the time of year projects range from, recycling timbers and building community planters or repairing a polytunnel, to planting a new apple trail or creating a new community growing space.

Weโ€™ve worked with groups ranging from 5 people to 120 people per session and they can be held at any of our community sites. Over the years we have worked with many blue-chip companies who enable their employees to give back and contribute to communities, often accompanied by volunteering time off (VTO) or other policies that empower employees to work with a larger purpose outside of their world of work.

EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERING

Individuals who can join on certain days at several the sites that we run and manage.โ€จCorporate volunteers carry out a wide range of projects dependent on the season and can cover tasks such as the construction/repair of raised beds, general woodworking, planting new hedges, sowing seeds, plug plants, building compost bays etc.
